Our flagship Japanese GABA green tea, made from first-flush Yabukita leaves processed as a light-steamed (asamushi) sencha before undergoing the traditional nitrogen-sealed GABA treatment. The result is a tea that combines the fresh, grassy character of a proper spring sencha with the calming, stress-relieving qualities of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) — a naturally occurring compound studied for its role in supporting relaxation and healthy blood pressure.
The cup is a bright yellow-green with a crisp, clean flavor and a gentle vegetal sweetness — close in profile to a traditional sencha, but softer and more rounded thanks to the GABA processing. Naturally reduced in caffeine, it's an ideal everyday tea for sencha drinkers who want the grounding benefits of GABA without giving up the freshness they love.
