These teapots were made by the artist known as Kohokujo, son of famed potter Hokujo from the city of Tokoname. Each one demonstrates the level of skill he has garnered from working with his father, while simultaneously distinguishing themselves with the unique stylistic flourishes that he employs. These were designed specifically for the purpose of brewing high-grade Japanese teas.
Over time, the porous, unglazed clay will become seasoned with the aroma of the tea, so we suggest reserving it solely for Japanese, non-roasted green teas.
Because each piece is hand-made, please note that some characteristic may differ slightly from the pictures provided.
